Abstract

The bamboo aphid, , is a terrible insect pest of bamboos. Herein, the complete mitochondrial genome of a representative of this aphid from China was determined through next generation sequencing platform. The whole genome was 16,651 bp in size and encoded 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, and two rRNA genes. The phylogeny showed that two Chinese isolates of clustered together and formed a monophyletic relationship with in Hormaphidinae, supporting their species validity among the family Aphididae. The cumulative mitochondrial DNA data should contribute to a better understanding of the phylogenetic relationship of this aphid species.

摘要

竹蚜是竹子的一种严重害虫。在此,通过下一代测序平台测定了来自中国的该蚜虫一个代表性个体的完整线粒体基因组。全基因组大小为16,651 bp,编码13个蛋白质编码基因、22个tRNA基因和两个rRNA基因。系统发育分析表明,中国的两个竹蚜分离株聚集在一起,并与蚜亚科中的竹蚜形成单系关系,支持它们在蚜科中的物种有效性。累积的线粒体DNA数据应有助于更好地理解该蚜虫物种的系统发育关系。
