Abstract

This study aimed to elucidate the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of (Clupeiformes: Engraulidae). The circular mitogenome is 16,737-bp-long, including 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, and a non-coding control region as observed in other vertebrates. The overall base composition is as follows: A, 30.69%; T, 24.86%; C, 28.17%; G, 16.29%; a slight A + T bias of 55.55%. Phylogenetic analysis of 16 species in family Engraulidae revealed that clustered in subfamily Engraulinae and is closely related to . The present data will contribute to future phylogenetic studies on members of family Engraulidae and conservation strategies for .

本研究旨在阐明(鲱形目:鳀科)的完整线粒体基因组(线粒体基因组)。该环状线粒体基因组长度为16,737 bp,包括13个蛋白质编码基因、22个tRNA基因、两个rRNA基因以及一个非编码控制区,这与其他脊椎动物中观察到的情况一致。总体碱基组成为:A,30.69%;T,24.86%;C,28.17%;G,16.29%;A+T轻微偏向,为55.55%。对鳀科16个物种的系统发育分析表明,聚集在鳀亚科中,并且与关系密切。目前的数据将有助于未来对鳀科成员的系统发育研究以及的保护策略。
