[Immunoglogulins in swine. (A) A review supplemented by a report on findings in personal studies (author's transl)].

the literature is reviewed and the importance of studying immunoglobulins in farm animals, particularly swine, is stressed. Possible methods of clinical immunological investigation in pigs are suggested. The literature as well as personal studies show that the immunoglobulin titre in the serum of piglets continues to be very low over a prolonged period from the seventh day post partum. This incomplete state of immunity should be taken into account on weaning piglets.
