A new compound, 3--(4--methyl-β-D-glucopyranosyl) xanthone () was isolated from the culture of NBRC106950. The structure of was mainly determined by H, C, 2D-NMR and HREIMS spectral analyses. The absolute configuration of 4--methylglucopyranosyl moiety was determined by the optical rotation of aqueous layer of hydrolyzed as D-configuration.
