On six models of arrhythmias of atrial and ventricular types (induced by administration of aconitine, chlorcalcium, chlorbarium, strophanthin, chloroform-adrenaline and by coronary occlusion) it was shown that in rats, cats and rabbits the antiarrhythmic, preventive and relieving activity of brevicarine dichlorhydrate exceeded that of quinidine, novocainamide and lidocaine in power by 3-5 times and in duration by 3-18 times.
