Abstract

In Asian countries, clinical practice places little emphasis on developing the clinical decision-making skills and social problem-solving abilities of nursing students. This study explored whether a 3-months-in-1-unit training program improved nursing students' clinical decision-making skills and social problem-solving abilities compared to the 1-month-in-1-unit rotation program. A quasi-experimental study was conducted. A 3-months-in-1-unit training program was conducted in the intervention group ( = 77), rountine1-month-in-1-unit rotation was conducted in the control group ( = 73). Clinical decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities were measured using the Chinese version of the Clinical Decision-Making Nursing Scale and the Social Problem-Solving Inventory-Revised. Nursing students in the intervention group scored higher clinical decision-making skills ( = 7.677,  < 0.05), positive problem orientation (= 18.359,  < 0.05), negative problem orientation (= -3.711,  < 0.05), and rational problem-solving (= 2.312, < 0.05) than the control group. The 3-months-in-1-unit specialized training program had a significant positive impact on students' clinical decision-making skills and social problem-solving abilities.

在亚洲国家,临床实践对培养护理学生的临床决策技能和解决社会问题的能力重视不足。本研究旨在探讨相较于传统的 1 个月轮转 1 个科室的实习模式,3 个月集中于 1 个科室的培训项目是否能提高护理学生的临床决策技能和解决社会问题的能力。本研究采用类实验设计,干预组(n=77)采用 3 个月集中于 1 个科室的培训项目,对照组(n=73)采用传统的 1 个月轮转 1 个科室的实习模式。采用中文版临床决策护理量表和社会问题解决量表修订版评估护理学生的临床决策技能和解决社会问题的能力。干预组的护理学生在临床决策技能(=7.677,<0.05)、积极问题取向(=18.359,<0.05)、消极问题取向(= -3.711,<0.05)和理性问题解决(=2.312,<0.05)方面的得分显著高于对照组。3 个月集中于 1 个科室的专科培训项目对学生的临床决策技能和解决社会问题的能力有显著的积极影响。
