Transilluminator device allow healthcare professionals to visualize peripheral veins without using tourniquet. Aim of the study was to test the ability of three devices (Christie VeinViewer Flex (Christie, Lake Mary, Florida, USA), ICEN IN-G090-2 (ICEN Technology Company Limited, Guangdong, China) and AccuVein AV400 (AccuVein, New York, USA)) to present quality images thought defined criterion.
Study was designed as a comparison of technical characteristics, evaluation of image quality and assessment of applicability in different conditions (different viewing angels, conditions of lightning and image visibility under interference of humidity and body lotions) in reference person on two venipuncture sites.
Devices have different technical characteristics and vary in optimal distance for good quality image (18-30 cm), number of presented veins (1-4), image dimension (6.0-90.3 cm), length (1.5-8.0 cm) and thickness (2-5 mm) of the dominant blood vessel. Devices present different image visibility under different viewing angels, conditions of lightning and interference of humidity and body lotions (from good quality to unusable images).
Transillumination devices differ in their technical characteristics and performance. The choice of the device should be based on the needs of the particular patient population and the intended use of the device.
透照仪可使医护人员在不使用止血带的情况下看清外周静脉。本研究的目的是通过既定标准测试三种设备(美国佛罗里达州玛丽湖市科视Christie公司的Christie VeinViewer Flex、中国广东的艾生科技有限公司的ICEN IN - G090 - 2以及美国纽约的AccuVein公司的AccuVein AV400)呈现高质量图像的能力。
本研究设计为对两名参考人员两个静脉穿刺部位的技术特性进行比较、评估图像质量以及评估在不同条件下(不同视角、光照条件以及湿度和身体乳液干扰下的图像可视性)的适用性。
这些设备具有不同的技术特性,高质量图像的最佳距离(18 - 30厘米)、显示的静脉数量(1 - 4条)、图像尺寸(6.0 - 90.3厘米)、主要血管的长度(1.5 - 8.0厘米)和厚度(2 - 5毫米)各不相同。在不同视角、光照条件以及湿度和身体乳液干扰下,设备呈现出不同的图像可视性(从高质量图像到无法使用的图像)。
透照设备在技术特性和性能方面存在差异。设备的选择应基于特定患者群体的需求以及设备的预期用途。
