BACKGROUND
Axillary osmidrosis (AO) is a common and nonnegligible disease, the treatment of which is currently lacking a consensus.
AIMS
The aim of this study was to introduce a modified suction-assisted technique as a safer and more efficient surgical procedure.
METHODS
This retrospective clinical study included 80 patients who recieved a modified suction-curettage procedure (group A) or a subcutaneous gland excision procedure (group B). Intraoperative assessment (endoscopy and pathological biopsy) and postoperative assessment (complications, therapeutic effect, and satisfaction) were performed for both groups.
RESULTS
The endoscopy and pathological biopsy results demonstrated that the modified suction-curettage technique could remove the apocrine gland efficiently. Compared with group B, a lower complication rate (long-term, 5.00%; P=0.014, and short-term, 11.10%; P=0.001) and higher patient satisfaction (98.00%, P=0.012) were observed in group A.
CONCLUSION
The modified suction-curettage procedure is an effective and safe treatment for axillary osmidrosis.
背景
腋臭是一种常见且不可忽视的疾病，目前其治疗缺乏共识。
目的
本研究的目的是引入一种改良的抽吸辅助技术，作为一种更安全、更有效的手术方法。
方法
这项回顾性临床研究纳入了80例接受改良刮吸术（A组）或皮下腺体切除术（B组）的患者。对两组患者均进行了术中评估（内镜检查和病理活检）和术后评估（并发症、治疗效果和满意度）。
结果
内镜检查和病理活检结果表明，改良刮吸技术能够有效去除顶泌汗腺。与B组相比，A组的并发症发生率较低（长期并发症发生率为5.00%，P = 0.014；短期并发症发生率为11.10%，P = 0.001），患者满意度较高（98.00%，P = 0.012）。
结论
改良刮吸术是治疗腋臭的一种有效且安全的方法。
