Abstract

Metastatic lesions to thyroid cartilage are very rare and can be often missed on conventional imaging. Anatomical and functional fused positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging has higher sensitivity as compared to conventional CT imaging and can thus identify such atypical sites of metastasis. Here, we present four cases of thyroid cartilage metastases detected on fluorodeoxyglucose PET/CT scan from carcinoma lung, breast, stomach and urinary bladder.

甲状腺软骨转移瘤非常罕见，在传统影像学检查中常常容易漏诊。与传统CT成像相比，解剖和功能融合的正电子发射断层扫描/计算机断层扫描（PET/CT）成像具有更高的灵敏度，因此能够识别这类非典型转移部位。在此，我们报告4例通过氟脱氧葡萄糖PET/CT扫描检测到的甲状腺软骨转移瘤，原发癌分别来自肺、乳腺、胃和膀胱。
