The use of stereotaxic cryothrombosis is sparing and sufficiently safe for the management of arteriovenous aneurysms of the brain. On the basis of experience in performing 21 operations on 15 patients, groups of patients for whom the method is recommended are distinguished (with an aneurysm no larger than 6 cm in diameter and up to 35 cm3 in volume). The method is especially promising in the treatment of small deep lying anteriovenous aneurysms. In large aneurysms the considerable blood flow makes it impossible to produce a sufficient hypothermal effect.
立体定向冷冻血栓形成术在治疗脑动静脉瘤方面应用适度且足够安全。根据对15例患者实施21次手术的经验，区分出了推荐使用该方法的患者群体（动脉瘤直径不超过6厘米，体积不超过35立方厘米）。该方法在治疗小型深部动静脉瘤方面尤其有前景。对于大型动脉瘤，大量的血流使得无法产生足够的低温效应。
