Abstract
The process of calmodulin carboxymethylation was found to possess an early radiosensitivity. The rate of both Ca2+dependent and ion-independent Ca2+ carboxymethylation of calmodulin decreased 60 min following whole-body X-irradiation of rats with a dose of 0.21 C/kg. No changes were observed in the process of calmodulin methylation when compared with the control.
