An additional classification of type II of congenital aural atresia (to Altmann) is presented. This subclassification proved to be useful in predicting the change on a servicable hearing level after a canal plasty procedure. Also a correlation has been noted between the postoperative hearing level and the degree of malformation of the auricle. In type II A atresia the rate of success is so good, that a small group of patients with unilateral atresia and this class of anomally can also be expected to benefit from surgery.
本文提出了先天性耳道闭锁II型（阿尔特曼分类法）的一种额外分类。这种亚分类法被证明在预测耳道成形术后有用听力水平的变化方面很有用。此外，还注意到术后听力水平与耳廓畸形程度之间存在相关性。在II A型闭锁中，成功率非常高，以至于一小部分单侧闭锁且属于此类异常的患者也有望从手术中获益。
