[Cartilaginous forms of Jaffé-Lichtenstein fibrous dysplasia].

Radiologic images suggestive of chondroma may be observed in polyostotic or mono-osteotic fibrous dysplasia and were detected in 11 out of 27 patients with the polyostotic form and 1 out of 7 with the mono-osteotic form. Histology in some cases showed cartilaginous tissue foci suggestive of an isolated chondroma or Ollier's disease. Pathogenicity of these cartilaginous lesions and relations between Ollier's chondrodysplasia and fibrous dysplasia are discussed.
