[Growth hormone and prolactin levels of the blood in men with a history of myocardial infarct during rehabilitation].

The paper is concerned with a dynamic study of the level of the growth hormone (STH) and prolactin in the blood of male patients at different time of their rehabilitation after myocardial infarction (MI). STH concentration starting from the first determination (the 17th day) up to the end of the investigation (in 6 mos.) was below the level of the hormone in healthy males; with an increase in the time-period after MI acute phase the STH level was on a decrease. The time course of change of prolactin secretion was more complicated. The first points of determination (the 17th and 30th days) showed a significant increase in prolactin, then its level dropped not only below indices of the initial points of determination but also significantly below the hormone level in the control group.
