A simple model of a myelinated axon, using ideas from cable theory and accounting for the diffusion of potential across the internode, is formulated and solved to obtain transcendental expressions relating conduction velocity and various model parameters. Numerical simulations are performed to obtain graphs of several parameter relationships.
