Abstract

BACKGROUND

The study, following similar reviews in 2000 and 2010, presents an update of knowledge about external evaluation agencies and accreditation programs.

OBJECTIVE

The study aim was to investigate the current profile of external evaluation agencies identifying their program features, and significant changes and challenges.
