A new species of , Y.H.Tseng & Chih Y.Chang from central-northern Taiwan is reported in this article. This species is similar to Kitam. in having a densely cobwebby abaxial leaf surface, but differs in its yellow (vs. vivid purplish red) corolla and the angle between the midrib and the lateral veins of the leaf, which is acute as opposed to nearly at a right angle in . has 2 = 32 chromosomes, which is different from the other species in the Taiwanese subsect. Australicirsium Kitam. (2 = 34). An identification key to the taxa of Taiwan is presented.
本文报道了一种来自台湾中北部的新物种，曾燕湖和张智毅命名。该物种与北村蓟相似，叶背面有密集的蛛丝状毛，但不同之处在于其花冠为黄色（而非鲜艳的紫红色），且叶片中脉与侧脉之间的夹角为锐角，而北村蓟中脉与侧脉之间的夹角近直角。该物种有2n = 32条染色体，这与台湾亚组澳洲蓟属的其他物种不同（2n = 34）。文中还给出了台湾蓟类群的检索表。
