Abstract

Work stress is one of the urgent public health problems, which has aroused wide attention. In addition, work stress also has a negative impact on the development of enterprises. This study has three purposes: (1) to understand the current status of working stress among couriers, (2) to examine the association between work stress, job satisfaction and sleep quality of Chinese couriers, and (3) to verify the mediating role of psychological capital. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 3000 couriers in Beijing of China from January to December 2019 using cluster stratified random sampling. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to describe demographic characteristics of respondents. Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation among work stress, job satisfaction, sleep quality, and psychological capital. The mediating analysis was calculated role of psychological capital. A total of 2831 participants were included in this study. The average score of work stress was 2.49 ± 0.76. Work stress was negatively correlated with job satisfaction ( = -0.266, < 0.01), sleep quality ( = -0.142, < 0.01), and psychological capital ( = -0.268, < 0.01), respectively. The direct effect of work stress on job satisfaction is -0.223, and the total effect of work stress on job satisfaction is -0.267. The abc' is positive, indicating the mediating role psychological capital has in explaining the relationship between couriers' work stress and job satisfaction. Moreover, psychological capital plays a mediating role between work stress and sleep quality among couriers. Couriers face certain work stress and should be paid attention to and psychological capital can effectively alleviate the work stress of couriers, so measures can be taken to improve it, promoting healthy development of employees and organizations.

工作压力是紧迫的公共卫生问题之一,已引起广泛关注。此外,工作压力对企业发展也有负面影响。本研究有三个目的:(1)了解快递员工作压力现状;(2)考察中国快递员工作压力、工作满意度与睡眠质量之间的关联;(3)验证心理资本的中介作用。2019年1月至12月,采用整群分层随机抽样方法,对中国北京3000名快递员进行了横断面调查。采用描述性统计分析描述受访者的人口统计学特征。采用Pearson相关分析分析工作压力、工作满意度、睡眠质量和心理资本之间的相关性。计算心理资本的中介作用。本研究共纳入2831名参与者。工作压力平均得分为2.49±0.76。工作压力分别与工作满意度(=-0.266,<0.01)、睡眠质量(=-0.142,<0.01)和心理资本(=-0.268,<0.01)呈负相关。工作压力对工作满意度的直接效应为-0.223,工作压力对工作满意度的总效应为-0.267。abc'为正,表明心理资本在解释快递员工作压力与工作满意度之间的关系中起中介作用。此外,心理资本在快递员工作压力与睡眠质量之间起中介作用。快递员面临一定的工作压力,应予以关注,心理资本可有效缓解快递员的工作压力,因此可采取措施加以改善,促进员工和组织的健康发展。
