The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of violence on depressive symptoms in women. We analyzed panel data from the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families ( = 6,632). Exposure to sexual violence was a significant predictor of the onset of depressive symptoms. After adjusting for all covariates, other predictors included the perception of a poor or very poor health status than normal and participants in their 40s and 50s versus participants younger than 40 years. Assessing exposure to sexual violence might be beneficial for evaluating depressive symptoms in women who are newly diagnosed with depression.
本研究旨在探讨暴力对女性抑郁症状的影响。我们分析了来自韩国女性与家庭纵向调查（ = 6632）的面板数据。性暴力暴露是抑郁症状发生的显著预测因素。在调整所有协变量后，其他预测因素包括感知健康状况不佳或非常差，以及 40 多岁和 50 多岁的参与者与 40 岁以下的参与者相比。评估性暴力暴露可能有助于评估新诊断为抑郁症的女性的抑郁症状。
