Abstract
Supplementation of tryptic soy broth and Columbia broth with OADC Enrichment improved the growth rate of Mycobacterium avium-intracellulare. This simple procedure could permit laboratories to isolate mycobacteria from blood specimens without the use of special culturing techniques.
