Pharmacotherapy of osteoarthritis with particular reference to night pain (double blind trial of pirprofen and piroxicam).

The study confirmed the usefulness of both pirprofen and piroxicam in a short-term treatment of decompensated osteoarthritis of weight-bearing joints associated with night pain. Both drugs were fairly tolerated. The tolerance of pirprofen was somewhat better then that of piroxicam.
