Abstract

Syphilitic pancolitis is a rare clinical presentation of the spirochete ; it can be misdiagnosed as inflammatory bowel disease. We report a case of symptomatic syphilitic pancolitis presenting with changes in bowel habit and typical risk factors. We also review previous case reports of syphilitic colitis.
