Abstract

Colorimetric detection of fatty acids during biological interactions is extremely difficult since they are optically silent. Here, fatty acids are found to function as ion-exchangers in ultrasmall polymeric nanospheres to facilitate the protonation of chromoionophores, causing a vivid color change between red and blue. With an excellent detection limit of 1.8 μg mL for oleic acid, colorimetric assays for lipase and albumin are developed with quick response, high sensitivity, and low cost.

在生物相互作用中,由于脂肪酸本身光学性质较为沉默,因此对其进行比色检测极具挑战性。在此,我们发现脂肪酸在超小聚合纳米球中起到离子交换剂的作用,从而促进显色离子对的质子化,使得颜色在红色和蓝色之间发生明显变化。由于对油酸的检测限低至 1.8μg/mL,因此可以开发出具有快速响应、高灵敏度和低成本的脂肪酶和白蛋白比色测定法。
