Three cubic crystalline icosahedral approximants (C phase: AlPdFe, P phase: AlPdRu, P phase: AlPdRu) exhibit high ethylene selectivity of over 90% for hydrogenating acetylene at 150 °C. Moreover, the powdered P also demonstrates a high catalytic performance under an industry-like ethylene feed containing 0.5% acetylene as an impurity. Overall, icosahedral approximants in the Al-Pd-(Ru, Fe) systems are promising as a novel class of alloy catalysts.
三种立方晶体二十面体近似相(C相:AlPdFe,P相:AlPdRu,P相:AlPdRu)在150℃下对乙炔加氢表现出超过90%的高乙烯选择性。此外,粉末状的P在含有0.5%乙炔作为杂质的类似工业乙烯进料条件下也表现出高催化性能。总体而言,Al-Pd-(Ru, Fe)体系中的二十面体近似相有望成为一类新型合金催化剂。
