There are numerous dressings used to treat pressure ulcers (PUs), depending on their advantages to achieve optimum patient outcomes. This study aimed to compare hydrocolloid dressings and silver nanoparticles in treating PUs among patients with spinal cord injury (SCI). This randomized clinical trial was conducted on 70 patients with SCI in Iran. Participants were randomly divided into two equal groups (n=35) receiving silver nanoparticle dressing and hydrocolloid dressing, respectively. The groups were evaluated in four assessment periods using the Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool (BWAT). Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 13, repeated measures ANOVA, non-parametric tests, and chi-square. Chi-square test was used to investigate the difference between the scores before the intervention, the results of which were not statistically significant. In repetitive measurements, the results of the analysis of variance showed that the average assessment score in both groups decreased and both dressings were effective in the treatment process. Although PU improvement status in the group that received silver nanoparticles was better, between-group analysis of variance did not show any statistically significant difference between the two groups. Our results indicated that silver nanoparticles and hydrocolloid dressings can be used interchangeably in the treatment of PUs.
根据其优势,有多种敷料用于治疗压疮(PU),以实现最佳的患者治疗效果。本研究旨在比较水胶体敷料和银纳米颗粒在脊髓损伤(SCI)患者中治疗压疮的效果。这项随机临床试验在伊朗的70名脊髓损伤患者中进行。参与者被随机分为两组,每组35人,分别接受银纳米颗粒敷料和水胶体敷料。使用贝茨-詹森伤口评估工具(BWAT)在四个评估阶段对两组进行评估。使用SPSS 13版软件进行数据分析,采用重复测量方差分析、非参数检验和卡方检验。卡方检验用于研究干预前评分之间的差异,结果无统计学意义。在重复测量中,方差分析结果表明两组的平均评估得分均下降,两种敷料在治疗过程中均有效。虽然接受银纳米颗粒治疗的组中压疮改善状况更好,但两组间的方差分析未显示出任何统计学上的显著差异。我们的结果表明,银纳米颗粒和水胶体敷料在治疗压疮方面可以互换使用。
