An experience with the surgical treatment of 245 patients aged over 60 with postoperative ventral hernias of a considerable size (45 of them being operated upon urgently) has shown that incarceration of such hernias in elderly patients are not so rare as it is usually thought. An exact individual selection of the operation volume allows getting better immediate results of the urgent surgical treatment of patients.
对245例60岁以上患有较大尺寸术后腹侧疝的患者（其中45例为急诊手术）进行手术治疗的经验表明，此类疝在老年患者中的嵌顿并不像通常认为的那样罕见。精确的个体化手术量选择有助于在对患者进行急诊手术治疗时获得更好的近期效果。
