Familiar intracranial aneurysms are known, but rare. 4 cases among 10 family members (3 siblings and one son of one of the aneurysm patients) are quite exceptional. Each aneurysm was located at the internal carotid artery near the origin of the a. communicans posterior. The report illustrates also the changes of aneurysm surgery techniques during the last three decades.
