The concept of 'local practising' will disappear in the new legislation. This will render veterinary medicine by mail order possible. From the point of view of the quality of the ultimate product, this development should be strongly rejected. The section will benefit by an expert and payable herd management programme which has as its object a justified use of drugs and a 'clean ultimate product' (healthy animals).
