The cause of Hallux valgus lies in the insufficiency of the intermetatarsal band between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal heads. The author believes that the reconstruction of the band provides a causal therapy. To this end, the proposed operation procedure shows, that in 91% of cases, there are from good to very good long lasting results.
