[Intrascrotal sclerosing lipogranuloma: a case report].

The etiology of granuloma of the male genitalia has been a controversial issue. Paraffinoma resulting from local injection of paraffin hydrocarbon is a well established entity. Granuloma lacking the evidence of exogenous oil, however, is in enigma. Only 9 cases in which no causative agents were identified, have been reported in the Japanese literature. Herein we report a case of sclerosing lipogranuloma laying emphasis on the necessity of being aware of the entity which should lead to its proper diagnosis and treatment.
