Sudden onset and Myasthenia gravis (MG) in the presence of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a rare postpartum phenomenon and can easily misguide the treating physician. A known case of SLE, 4 days after an elective cesarean section, presented to the intensive care unit for weaning-off mechanical ventilation after being put on ventilatory support in the emergency room, following acute-onset partial seizures. She was subsequently diagnosed to have new-onset MG, treated for the condition and later successfully extubated.

重症肌无力（MG）在系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）患者中突然发病是一种罕见的产后现象，很容易误导主治医生。有一例已知的SLE患者，在择期剖宫产术后4天，因在急诊室急性发作部分性癫痫后接受通气支持，随后被送入重症监护病房进行机械通气撤机。她随后被诊断为新发MG，接受了相应治疗，后来成功拔管。
