Abstract

OBJECTIVE

The effect of methanolic extract monotherapy and combination therapies on the growth of several and Theileria parasites and mice was investigated in this study.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

Fluorescence assay using SYBR Green I stain was used to evaluate the antibabesial efficacy inhibitory of either or Hematological parameters in the treated mice were analyzed using a Celltac MEK-6450 computerized hematology analyzer.

RESULTS

reduced the growth of , , , , and in a dose-dependent manner. The inhibitory impact of on and cultures was amplified when combined with either diminazene aceturate (DA). In -infected mice, a combination therapy consisting of and a low DA dose inhibited growth significantly ( < 0.05) better than treatment with 25 mg kg DA.

CONCLUSIONS

These data show that , when paired with a modest DA dose, could be a promising medicinal plant for babesiosis treatment.

目的

本研究调查了甲醇提取物单一疗法及联合疗法对多种泰勒虫寄生虫生长以及对小鼠的影响。

材料与方法

使用SYBR Green I染色的荧光测定法评估对任一巴贝斯虫的抗巴贝斯虫功效抑制作用。使用Celltac MEK - 6450电脑化血液分析仪分析治疗小鼠的血液学参数。

结果

以剂量依赖方式降低了、、、、和的生长。当与乙酰氨基阿维菌素(DA)联合使用时,对和培养物的抑制作用增强。在感染的小鼠中,由和低剂量DA组成的联合疗法比25 mg/kg DA治疗显著抑制生长(<0.05)。
