Splenic injury is an uncommon complication after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), requiring a high degree of suspicion in a patient who develops abdominal pain and/or hypotension after ERCP; in the appropriately selected patient splenic angioembolization can be the first-line treatment option.
