[Implementing quality assurance in roentgen diagnosis in accordance with the new roentgen ordinance].

Image quality and radiation protection can be optimised by means of quality assurance testing in accordance with the new Federal German regulations governing the handling of x-ray equipment (functional testing and control of constancy of performance). The x-ray films of patients are examined according to quality criteria relating to the organs of which x-ray films are produced; the diagnostic pointers obtained from these x-ray films enable on-target counselling, taking into consideration the technical guidelines on the taking of x-ray films to produce best possible results.
