[Selective occlusion of a carotid-cavernous sinus fistula following transphenoidal hypophysectomy using a detachable balloon catheter].

A case of a carotid cavernous sinus fistula following transphenoidal hypophysectomy is reported. A selective occlusion of the fistula with patency of the carotid artery was achieved by means of a detachable balloon catheter.
