Abstract
Pyloric preservation with pancreaticoduodenectomy has recently been described for selected periampullary tumors. The advantages of pyloric preservation include postoperative weight gain, absence of postgastrectomy syndrome, formed stools, and patient comfort. The decision of which operative procedure to use for suspected malignancy in the periampullary region depends on the surgeon's judgment.

近期已报道了针对特定壶腹周围肿瘤行保留幽门的胰十二指肠切除术。保留幽门的优点包括术后体重增加、无胃切除术后综合征、大便成形以及患者舒适度提高。对于壶腹周围疑似恶性肿瘤采用何种手术方式的决策取决于外科医生的判断。
