Abstract
Neodymium-YAG laser resection is now a well-accepted and successful treatment modality for the palliation of otherwise inoperable tumors causing symptoms of dyspnea, cough, or hemoptysis. It may provide curative therapy for benign tumors and strictures. There is a learning curve associated with the technique, but numerous "hands-on" courses are now available for acquiring the initial expertise.
