Abstract
The title complex, [Zn(CHN)][ZnCl], exists as discrete ions. The [Zn(CHN)] cation exhibits a distorted octa-hedral shape. In the [ZnCl] anion, the Zn atom is in an almost regular tetra-hedral environment. The crystal packing is consolidated by N-H⋯Cl and C-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds.
