[Mosses as bioindicators of heavy metal pollution of the urban environment].

The content of some heavy metals in leafy epigeous mosses and upper soil layer of the large Moscow parks has been studied. The peculiarities in accumulation of heavy metals by different moss species have been pointed out. The content of heavy metals in leafy epigeous mosses has been found to be closely connected with the content of these elements in upper soil layer.
