Abstract

We describe a promising fish probiotic, Bacillus pacificus CR121, which was isolated from the intestine of a healthy Indian major carp species, rohu (Labeo rohita) and shown to possess disease prevention efficacy in and Oreochromis niloticus. The genome sequence information will help us make use of the probiotic potential of this strain.
