Abstract
The title Schiff base, CHClNO, obtained from the reaction of 4-chloro aniline with benzil, has an approximate T shape. The dihedral angle between the phenyl rings of the benzil unit is 74.14 (15)°. The extended structure features C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

由4-氯苯胺与联苯甲酰反应得到的席夫碱CHClNO呈近似T形。联苯甲酰单元的苯环之间的二面角为74.14 (15)°。扩展结构具有C-H⋯O氢键。
