• Secondary cytoreductive surgery is a controversial topic in gynecologic oncology. • Secondary cytoreduction was successfully completed in this patient with unifocal platinum-sensitive recurrence. • Secondary cytoreduction should be considered in select patients in the absence of carcinomatosis and ascites.
