Abstract
The effect of changes of fixation target color and detail on objective refraction were assessed using the Canon Autoref R-1. In addition, the effect of ambient illumination on objective refractive results for various color fixation targets was studied. The results show that any differences induced in emmetropic observers by different color and fixation targets, at different light levels, are small.
