[Occurrence of circulating immune complexes in the umbilical cord serum of mature newborn infants].

Serum was taken both from maternal and umbilical cord blood from 28 term deliveries (37th till 41st gestational week) for quantitative estimation of circulating immune complexes. Aim of the study was to evidence the transfer of circulating immune complexes from maternal into fetal circulation system quantitatively. Concentration of immune complexes in umbilical cord serum was between 50 to 90 per cent of that in maternal serum.
