Computed tomography was performed in four patients with solitary extramedullary plasmacytoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Two tumors originated in the nasal cavity, one in the maxillary sinus, and one in the frontal sinus. Soft tissue mass(es) was seen in all patients. Bone destruction was apparent in only two patients. It seems possible to rule out carcinomas in such patients with no or subtle bony destruction. Computed tomography was also helpful for planning radiation therapy.
对4例鼻腔及鼻窦孤立性髓外浆细胞瘤患者进行了计算机断层扫描。2例肿瘤起源于鼻腔，1例起源于上颌窦，1例起源于额窦。所有患者均可见软组织肿块。仅2例患者有明显骨质破坏。对于无骨质破坏或骨质破坏轻微的此类患者，似乎可以排除癌。计算机断层扫描对放疗计划也有帮助。
