Two cases of death have been reported following a wasp sting. In both cases an anaphylactic reaction after sensitization can be assumed (positive RAST result). In one case an expert witness report was required because of questions concerning insurance law (accident at work?) in addition to the cause of death. The stinger of the wasp was examined from the zoological aspect and is compared with that of the honeybee and hornet.
据报道，有两例因黄蜂蜇伤致死的病例。在这两例中，可以假定存在致敏后的过敏反应（RAST检测结果呈阳性）。在其中一例中，除了死因之外，由于涉及保险法问题（工作场所事故？），还需要一份专家证人报告。从动物学角度对黄蜂的螫针进行了检查，并与蜜蜂和大黄蜂的螫针进行了比较。
