Pulmonary Tuberculosis with Concomitant Aspergillus Fungal Ball in a Diabetic Indian Male: A Rare Case Report.

Pulmonary tuberculosis is rampant in some countries. The disease is an outcome of infection by and is more common in immunocompromised individuals. Furthermore, mycetoma or a fungal ball can develop in cavitary lesions of tuberculosis. The present case is a rare presentation of pulmonary tuberculosis with concomitant fungal ball in a diabetic Indian male. A clinical examination with a strong laboratory and radiological workup helped establish the final diagnosis. The patient was initiated on anti-tubercular chemotherapy and advised lobectomy.
