Abstract

A new species of armored scale insect, is described and illustrated based on adult female specimens collected on Rosaceae plants in China. A key to the species known from Guizhou Province of China is provided. Our molecular study suggests that (Takagi, 1970) is not a true member of the genus ; the genus Chen, 1983 is revived and is transferred to it as (Takagi, 1970), , based on a molecular phylogeny.
