Anthrax meningitis may complicate cutaneous, inhalation, or gastrointestinal anthrax, although it occurs in less than 5% of patients. Between 1935 and 1985 60 cases of human anthrax were notified in Switzerland. This report of a fatal case in a 54-year-old woman is the third case of inhalation anthrax and the second of meningeal complication with cortical hemorrhages in our country. There was no known source of infection. The clinical, microbiological and histopathological profile, therapy and prognosis are presented.
炭疽性脑膜炎可能并发皮肤型、吸入型或胃肠型炭疽，尽管其发生率不到5%的患者。1935年至1985年间，瑞士报告了60例人类炭疽病例。本报告的一名54岁女性死亡病例是我国第三例吸入型炭疽病例，也是第二例伴有皮质出血的脑膜并发症病例。没有已知的感染源。本文介绍了该病例的临床、微生物学和组织病理学特征、治疗及预后情况。
