Accurate taxonomical identification is an extremely important basis for stick insect research, including evolutionary biology but also applied biology such as pest control. In addition, genetic methods are a valuable identification auxiliary technology at present. Therefore, this paper used morphological and molecular data to investigate five stick insect specimens from the genus in Yunnan, successfully identifying two new species: Xu, Jiang & Yang, and Xu, Jiang & Yang, A phylogenetic tree was constructed through their and genes in order to infer the phylogenetic position of the two new species. Photographs of the new species and a key to all known species are provided.
准确的分类鉴定是竹节虫研究极其重要的基础,这不仅包括进化生物学,还包括害虫防治等应用生物学领域。此外,基因方法是目前一种有价值的鉴定辅助技术。因此,本文利用形态学和分子数据对采自云南的该属五个竹节虫标本进行了研究,成功鉴定出两个新物种:徐氏竹节虫、蒋氏竹节虫和杨氏竹节虫,以及徐氏竹节虫、蒋氏竹节虫和杨氏竹节虫。通过它们的基因构建了系统发育树,以推断这两个新物种的系统发育位置。文中提供了新物种的照片以及所有已知该属物种的检索表。
